Music, musicians and counter culture communities are my favorite subjects to write about. I've been playing in bands since I was fifteen-years-old and am now a touring musician with a small amount of traveling experience. I take pride in dissecting a group's sound in an album review and capturing a band's energy on stage in a live review. Profiles are especially engaging pieces to write because they offer insight into an artist's motivations and inspirations. I don't care about genre or style - I listen to an artist because I'm interested in what they're saying and thinking. Everywhere I've been I've seen how different underground music communities operate, and it's one of my main interests as a journalist to delve deeper.
